Finding trees with great prospects for a continued life in the form of furniture is an important part of what I do. It seems so much better for the tree than to be turned into fire wood. Here is a giant ash tree being given a potential new life after a split in it threaten a house.

This ash tree had to come down in the adjacent county. The owner cared greatly about it's future. I plan to saw it into slabs and if all goes well it will live on for generations as tables and other pieces of furniture. I love the thought of that.
